Spammed

I was recently hit by a new wave of Blog (Comment) Spam or what I like to call B.S. Essentially, spammers (and their computers) go through a site like Blogger and use the BloggerBar at the top of many blogs to reach thousands of individual blogs. Then they comment on the first post of every blog they reach and they insert their spam sales pitch.

This reaches regular people who click into the posts by looking to see if someone they know left an insightful comment. Readers soon find that the comment is nothing more than spam in its newest form!

I changed the settings on all my blogs to require word verification on all comments. That means anyone can still comment but you must enter in a series of funky letters into a box in order to verify you are real.
