You tell me if there is room to even take one step here at the annual Hong Kong Book Fair. This photo is from the Hall One in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center (best known for being built for the grand 1997 changeover ceremony). The Fair has mostly Chinese books but there are a few large sellers of English titles (PageOne and Dymocks). They also have a huge hall full of stationary wares and children’s books/toys. Prices are not cheap by Amazon.com standards but are discounted compared to what most Hong Kong-ers pay for their books at retail (hence the buying frenzy witnessed above). I ended up picking up a few books to keep myself occupied with my remaining two weeks. I also got a Moleskine planner to keep track of all that school work I will have and a mechanical pencil that never needs to be clicked to extend the graphite.
