The low-lights and grooving bodies make photographing concerts a tough feat. There are two main subjects for concerts: the performer and the audience. The purchase of a long-range lens earlier this year has made the former much easier but it still is a challenge to get audience shots right, especially without a diffuse flash. As person that finds it difficult to get in the middle of a crowd to capture the shot, doing concert photography pushes my boundaries. Plus, the audience does not always take kindly to being photographed up close.
