There is all this imagery that comes with roads. Damn you Robert Frost for your “road less traveled by” line. Half of all country music is about “country roads.” But the one road image that is just so enticing is that of the road trip, particularly the summer road trip.
Can’t you just imagine the window down, wind blowing in your hair, and miles of highway ahead of you? I can.
Two summers ago, I worked on China’s first road trip tour of two Beijing bands in a tour called “Love Noise.” This summer, I’m happy to be playing the role of producer for another road trip venture tentatively titled: “On the Road: Life After Middlebury.” There’ll be plenty of updates here and the forthcoming project website.
